What we do
To raise awareness about the dangers of popular mainstream lifestyles and behaviors, we’ve provided healthier alternatives through the following programs:
- We offer classes on the dangers of risky behaviors such as smoking, alcoholism, drug use, dropping out of school, prostitution, and teen pregnancy.
- We offer mentorship sessions to at-risk youth and offer programs that give them alternatives to their former risky behaviors.
- We offer classes to young domestic workers to protect them from juvenile delinquency’s dangers. We encourage them to get into professional apprenticeships.
- We have a Weekly radio show on a Christian radio
- We have teachings for teenagers on Sundays through partner Churches
- We organize Youth camps during holidays
- We hold conferences in secondary schools and University campuses by invitation
- We offer monthly seminars for young adults (3rd Sunday of the month)
- We prepare young adults for healthy relationships leading to Christian marriages. We organize a three-month workshop for “fiancés” twice a year.
- We prepare engaged couples for successful marriages with programs based on evangelical values such as mutual respect, non-violent conflict resolution, mutual assistance in children’s education, and joint responsibility for managing their resources.
- We organize a one-day-a-year retreat for married couples (trained for marriage by RHM): “Eden’s Day.”
- We organize a one-day-a-year retreat for women only (trained for marriage by RHM): “Femmes Epanouies” (Happy Wives).
- We endeavor to instill in at-risk youth a spirit of compassion for the poor and the needy so they divert their attention from themselves. We encourage them to get involved in social programs we developed, which consist in visiting the sick in hospitals, bringing them food, clothes, blankets, shoes, etc., and helping some of them pay their hospital bills and medicines. We support some local orphanages with clothing, shoes, school material, and food. We also distribute in-kind donations like bedding and clothing to internally displaced people who have lost their homes due to inclement weather.
We share the good news of Jesus Christ with all those group categories, presenting the gospel as the best resource for building their lives on solid values that will grant them successful and balanced lives.
