Restore Hope Ministries (RHM) is a Christian ministry that reaches out to teenagers and young adults in Burundi with a message of HOPE for a better life.
Losing hope at a young age is a tragic experience. Sadly, innocent children are often harmed by malicious people and lack access to resources that could help them feel empowered and inspired. This can make teens and young adults feel like they have no control over their lives, and this could lead to a bleak future filled with hopelessness.
Many of the young people we serve could easily slip into a life of juvenile delinquency. We help them discover what they can achieve and who they can become if they don’t lose hope and believe in God’s intervention.
At Restore Hope Ministries, we believe that preventing risky behavior, leading to juvenile delinquency, is a firm foundation for producing more responsible adults and creating a safer and healthier environment for thriving societies.
The Word of God urges us to warn those who are disorderly, comfort the discouraged, and help the weak… 1 Thess. 5:14
- We do prevention work but also help those who have already been affected by life circumstances and have hope for a better future.
- We offer classes on the dangers of risky behaviors such as smoking, alcoholism, drug use, dropping out of school, prostitution, and teen pregnancy.
- We give special attention to teen mothers and other young girls who get accidentally pregnant before they complete school. In most cases, shame and lack of a support system can hinder them from pursuing their studies, making their lives harder.
We believe in the restoration that happens while serving others. Our programs offer several opportunities to visit the sick and collect goods for the neediest people in hospitals and those affected by natural disasters.
Restore Hope Ministries provides a safe haven for children at critical junctures in their lives, and youth who are struggling, allowing them to discover and experience the unconditional love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We long to see youth evolving from darkness to light, from despair to hope, from bondage to freedom, and from destruction to restoration.
